About Eleanor

An engineer in Parliament — finally.

Before politics, Eleanor worked as a wind-energy engineer for over a decade — designing offshore turbines, then spending three years in renewables policy.

In 2024 she made history as the first ever Verdant MP for Manchester Withington, defeating a sitting cabinet minister. Her maiden speech — on the case for a wealth tax — has been viewed 12 million times.
