Accessibility Statement
Verdant is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
- Skip-to-content navigation link
- ARIA labels on interactive elements
- Sufficient colour contrast in both light and dark modes
- Keyboard-navigable menus and controls
- Focus-visible indicators on all interactive elements
- prefers-reduced-motion support disables animations
- text-wrap: balance on headlines prevents orphaned words
Known limitations
- Some filter controls on the policies and news pages use aria-pressed on buttons rather than proper tab roles — this is on our roadmap to fix.
- Photography placeholders have descriptive aria-labels but lack visible text in all cases.

If you encounter any accessibility barriers, please email accessibility@verdant.party with the page URL and a description of the issue. We will respond within 5 working days and aim to resolve the issue within 15 working days.
